What People's Say About Place

Top notch. Pumpkin chai was divine. Avocado toast amazing too. Very welcoming and professional baristas. Was given a small taster of the iced vanilla matcha latte when I asked her about what she was making. Will be back!

Solid good coffee! Not only the barista is a master at her craft when steaming milk, our flat whites were both creamy, showing consistency in technique, and the espresso shot was present in the drink, no signs of the coffee being too roastes (burnt) nor acidity in mout, so very happy with it. The coffee beans we got for filter method turned out great! Balanced and juicy in cup, and quality price ratio was fantastic! The flat white is a bit overpriced, but I guess that just cause it's the US/California. Will 100% go back!

These guys live up to their namesake! I consider myself a mocha guy, and it's what I get most often at most roasters/coffee shops. Chocolate Fish executed the BEST mocha that I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. I was not prepared for how delicious their Roché mocha (Hazelnut, chocolate + cocoa nibs & something else I can't recall) is!!! I will be back soon enough to indulge in another one of these wonderful drinks. Keep it up y'all!

I have never actually been here but I was gifted a Koru Espresso bean coffee from here. It was phenomenal and I cannot go back to store coffee. They deliver and you can adjust amount and frequency. Try it and I know you will be impressed.

I saw the name of this coffee shop and I just had to check it out . I love chocolate and coffee - so win-win here. The place is very modern feeling with nice vista-like decorations on the walls. There is a huge coffee roasting machine which definitely adds a sense of where we are. They have the standard set of drinks that one would expect in a coffee shop, they are quite good and have good attention to detail; nice latte art and a good coffee flavor. There are a number of pastries on display, including actual chocolate fish as a homage to the name of the place. They have a number of types of toasts as well so this is a good place to enjoy a coffee and some other tasty food bite to start off the day. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, in fact the outside patio has a lot of character to it and looks very comfortable to sit with friends or a lover and enjoy a relaxing time sipping your favorite drink. The service was excellent and the baristas were very friendly and accommodating. They had no problem with special requests that I had.

The name of this place is kinda odd.lol I can’t think of a reason why it’s called chocolate fish. But, (Anything before “but” doesn’t really matter), this place is AMAZING. Respect to all the coffee shops/cafes who serve little food options. I loved their fresh avocado toast. Having that on the menu is a game changer. Great coffee, interior is nice, clean and the staff is super friendly. You could see the roasting area and sacks of coffee inside. Nice little patio area as well. You earned my loyalty and five stars!! I’ll be back for more avocado toast and coffee :)

After a weekend of trying different coffee roasters throughout Sacramento, this was our final stop. Excellent and neck and neck with Pachamama. The baristas take pride in their profession and produce an amazing cup!

Small vibrant coffee shop offering decent selections of coffee, pastry, and light food. Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking behind the building and on the street. One drawback was the lack of comfortable seating space to sit for a long time and enjoy reading or doing work. Steady stream of customers coming in during the one hour or so Sunday morning i was there.
